Soccer Recap: Gilmer Takes a Loss

After flying high against Gordon Central last Tuesday, Gilmer came back down to earth. The Gilmer Bobcats fell just short of the Lanier Longhorns by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The loss was the Bobcats' first of the season.

Their goal came courtesy of Joei Marshall, who's now up to four this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Gilmer fell to 2-1. As for Lanier, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Gilmer didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 4-0 win against Fannin County on the 18th. As for Lanier, they have also already played their next game, a 4-1 victory against Peachtree Ridge on the 18th.
