Frontier strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Shadyside Tigers. Those one runs were actually the fewest the Cougars have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Shadyside's batters probably weren't too happy with Kaycee Berentz, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 14 Ks (she gave up a single walk). Berentz has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season.

Frontier's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Shadyside, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

Frontier didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 4-1 victory against River on the 11th. As for Shadyside, they will take on Shenandoah at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
