Softball Game Preview: Woden Eagles vs. Timpson Bears

The Woden Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the Timpson Bears at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Timpson took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Woden, who comes in off a win.

Woden proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 11) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Chireno 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted against the Owls since April 1, 2022.

Addison Taylor was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

Meanwhile, Timpson suffered their closest loss since March 13, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Shelbyville by a score of 7-5. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Woden has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. Timpson's defeat dropped their record down to 13-2.
