Mountain View and Uintah are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. The Bruins will host the Utes at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mountain View took a 12-run loss the last time they faced off against Provo, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bruins came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bulldogs on Friday, sneaking past 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bruins have posted since May 3, 2024.

Mountain View got a great performance from Johnny Perkins as he struck out six batters over 5.2 innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits. Perkins has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Kiesel Wilson was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

Meanwhile, Uintah entered their tilt with Payson on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Lions.

Uintah pushed their record up to 8-12 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Mountain View, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Mountain View beat Uintah 4-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Do the Bruins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Utes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
