Basketball Game Preview: Rushville-Industry Rockets vs. Quincy Notre Dame Raiders

Rushville-Industry is 0-3 against Quincy Notre Dame since January of 2022 but things could change on Monday. The Rushville-Industry Rockets will square off against the Quincy Notre Dame Raiders at 5:30 p.m.

Rushville-Industry is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest defeat since November 21, 2024 on Thursday. They took a blow against Brown County, falling 69-41. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 469th, while the Hornets are ranked 101st).

Meanwhile, Quincy Notre Dame strolled past Bloomington Central Catholic with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 51-37. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

Quincy Notre Dame's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.8 points per game. As for Rushville-Industry, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.

Rushville-Industry was dealt a bruising 73-25 defeat at the hands of Quincy Notre Dame in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Rushville-Industry avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
