Preview: Fort Bragg Timberwolves vs. Willits Wolverines

Fort Bragg is 10-0 against Willits since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Fort Bragg Timberwolves will be home for the holidays to greet the Willits Wolverines at 6:30 p.m.

Last Tuesday, Fort Bragg came up short against Middletown and fell 54-42. Fort Bragg has struggled against Middletown recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Cooper Killion, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. The contest was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Andre Chavez-Meza , who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Willits had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 58-48 win over Lower Lake on Saturday. The win was just what Willits needed coming off of a 61-36 defeat in their prior match.

Willits can attribute much of their success to Kooper Dockins, who scored 27 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Dockins has scored at least 25% of Willits' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Teejay Woods , who scored 12 points.

Fort Bragg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Willits, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Fort Bragg was able to grind out a solid victory over Willits when the teams last played back in January of 2022, winning 56-44. Will Fort Bragg repeat their success, or does Willits have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
