Soccer Game Preview: Erie vs. Northfield

The Erie Tigers are taking a road trip to face off against the Northfield Nighthawks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Erie barely beat Brighton the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers never let the Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 5-0 win on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for Erie in their matchups with Brighton: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Northfield faced Cherry Creek in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Neither the Nighthawks nor the Bruins could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Northfield's goal came courtesy of Oliva Galvan, who's now up to 13 this season.

With that draw, Northfield's record moves to 8-1-6. As for Erie, their win bumped their record up to 9-4-2.
