Baseball Game Preview: Cherry Hill West Lions vs. Moorestown Quakers

The Cherry Hill West Lions will square off against the Moorestown Quakers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Cherry Hill West 2.9, Moorestown 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Cherry Hill West heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Tuesday. They fell 6-3 to Ocean City. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by exactly three runs.

Meanwhile, Moorestown suffered their closest defeat since May 2nd on Tuesday. They fell just short of Shawnee by a score of 6-4. The Quakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Moorestown now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Cherry Hill West, their loss dropped their record down to 16-8.

Cherry Hill West came out on top in a nail-biter against Moorestown when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 3-1. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Quakers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
