Basketball Recap: Memphis Home Education Association Comes Up Short

Memphis Home Education Association lost against Houston back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Memphis Home Education Association took a blow against the Houston Mustangs, falling 59-25. Memphis Home Education Association was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-8.

Leading Houston to victory were Mckenzie Percoski and Caidyn Sanders. Percoski went 8 of 12 on her way to 19 points and seven rebounds, while Sanders went 6 for 10 on her way to 14 points and seven steals. Those seven steals gave Sanders a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Laila Mcnamee, who posted four points in addition to five boards and three steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Memphis Home Education Association and nudges their season record down to 1-6. As for Houston, they pushed their record up to 13-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Memphis Home Education Association will venture away from home to face off against Bolton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Houston, they will head out to take on Cordova at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
