Basketball Recap: St. Thomas More Academy Beats Thales Academy Rolesville for Their Fourth Straight Victory

St. Thomas More Academy had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged the Thales Academy Rolesville Knights out 37-34. The score was all tied up 17-17 at the break, but the Chancellors were the better team in the second half.

Leading St. Thomas More Academy to victory were JohnPaul Mack and Joseph DeGuzman. Mack posted 15 points, while DeGuzman put up 13 points. The contest was Mack's eighth in a row with at least ten points.

Thales Academy Rolesville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tony Lopez, who earned six points.
