Basketball Recap: Tok's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

It was a good run, but Tok unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 52-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Glennallen Panthers. The matchup marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Tok's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Skyla Frank-Young, who posted seven points along with six rebounds and four steals. Frank-Young is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Allison Demit, who earned nine points and three steals.

Tok's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Glennallen, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tok will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ninilchik at 5:00 p.m. on February 13th. As for Glennallen, they will head out to face off against Redington at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Redington: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Glennallen has snatched up six consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season.
