Baseball Recap: Nuview Bridge Comes Up Short

San Jacinto Valley Academy hit Nuview Bridge with a five-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Knights lost 12-4 to the Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-4 back in April.

Nuview Bridge saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Rivera, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Rivera is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Nuview Bridge has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season. As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.

Nuview Bridge will be playing at home against Temecula Prep at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight. As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge West Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
