Volleyball Recap: Sturgis Trojans vs. Vicksburg Bulldogs
Sturgis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vicksburg Bulldogs. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2022.
Vicksburg found their leader in underclassman Jenna Schramer, who had 22 digs. Those 22 digs set a new season-high mark for Schramer.
Sturgis' defeat dropped their record down to 2-21-2. As for Vicksburg, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 24-16.
After both having extra time off, Sturgis and Three Rivers will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Vicksburg, they will head out to take on Western at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
