The Midland Adventist Academy Mustangs were the 51-37 winner over The Daniel Academy Lions when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Midland Adventist Academy took a 46-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of The Daniel Academy on Tuesday.

The Daniel Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chris W led the charge by dropping a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. W is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least nine every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesse Yap, who scored 16 points along with two steals.

Midland Adventist Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for The Daniel Academy, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Midland Adventist Academy will take on Frontier STEM at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Frontier STEM is coming into the game with six straight defeats on the road, meaning Midland Adventist Academy will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. As for The Daniel Academy, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Guadalupe Centers at 6:30 p.m. on February 9th.
