Soccer Recap: Wharton Takes a Loss

Wharton lost against Bay City back in March of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wharton Tigers lost 10-0 to the Bay City Blackcats. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 643rd, while the Blackcats are ranked 208th).

Wharton's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Bay City, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-2-3.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Palacios the next time they take the pitch. Bay City will host Palacios at 7:15 p.m. on Monday, while Wharton will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
