Volleyball Recap: Westminster Academy Comes Up Short

Westminster Academy was the 3-0 winner over Cardinal Gibbons when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lions fell 2-0 to the Chiefs on Friday. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Zoe Burton paced Westminster Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Burton got some help from Maddie Rogacki and her seven assists.

Westminster Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Cardinal Gibbons, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Westminster Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Mater Lakes Academy on the 19th. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Chaminade-Madonna on the 19th.
