Caston had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the South Newton Rebels on Saturday as they made off with a 22-2 victory. The Comets' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
London Herd and Noah Herd made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Herd pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Noah pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. At bat, Herd got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and four RBI, while Noah got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
