DeWitt won the last time they faced Okemos and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers came out on top against the Wolves by a score of 3-1.

DeWitt had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-19.

Among those leading the charge was Payton Terwilliger, who had 16 digs and three assists. That's the most assists she has posted over her last six matchups. Avery Walthorn also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

DeWitt was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They are a perfect 8-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Okemos' defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of McKenzie Gunns, who had 11 digs and two assists, and Micaela Forcum, who had four aces and one assist. Forcum has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.

DeWitt is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9-1 record this season. As for Okemos, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 7-9.

DeWitt wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Grand Ledge on the 2nd. As for Okemos, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Holt on the 2nd.
