Recap: Palo Alto Vikings vs. King's Academy Knights
On Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Palo Alto beat King's Academy 34-28. The win made it back-to-back wins for Palo Alto.
Among those leading the charge was Joseph Kessler, who rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Kessler really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Madrigal, who rushed for 63 yards and two touchdowns.
Palo Alto's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Anthony Landa mendoza.
King's Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Jeaden Underwood and Kyle Welch. Underwood rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown, while Welch picked up 78 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Palo Alto is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for King's Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Palo Alto will look to defend their home field on November 10th against Seaside at 7:00 p.m. Seaside is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. King's Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
