Baseball Recap: Elgin Has No Trouble Against Larkin

Elgin's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They never let the Larkin Royals get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The contest marked the Maroons' most dominant win of the season so far.

Elgin let Briar Dekarske and Jacob Rufino run wild. Dekarske scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Rufino scored two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Rufino has posted since back in April of 2024. Jesus Garcia was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

The victory got Elgin back to even at 3-3. As for Larkin, their loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9.
