Preview: Da Vinci Dragons vs. Gadsden Panthers
Da Vinci is 0-3 against Gadsden since January of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Da Vinci Dragons will look to defend their home court against the Gadsden Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Da Vinci will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 1186th in Texas, while Gadsden is ranked 115th in New Mexico).
Da Vinci's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a 44-27 bruising from Gadsden. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Da Vinci has scored all season.
Valeria Miranda put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 18 points.
Da Vinci's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Gadsden, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-9.
