Volleyball Recap: Portville Gets the Win

It was a proper cat-fight when Portville challenged Northwestern on Saturday. The Panthers came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 2-0. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Ali Haynes paced Portville's offense, picking up eight kills. Haynes got some help from Addie Walker and her 14 assists. Walker was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Portville's win bumped their record up to 22-2-2. As for Northwestern, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-14.

Portville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 victory against Cochranton on the 11th. As for Northwestern, they will face off against Central Tech at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
