Fort LeBoeuf put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 77-67 win over the Franklin Knights. The score was all tied up 40-40 at the break, but the Bison were the better team in the second half.
Fort LeBoeuf got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mason Friedman out in front who made all 8 shots he took racking up 16 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Troy Goellner, who posted nine points and four steals.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Will Findlan, who put up 22 points. Findlan's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Alex Umbenhaur, who earned 15 points.
Fort LeBoeuf pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Franklin, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
Fort LeBoeuf and Clarion-Limestone will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on December 30th. As for Franklin, they will take on Karns City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Karns City has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
