Basketball Recap: Lincoln Cougars vs. Preston Knights
The Lincoln Cougars won the last time they faced the Preston Knights, and things went their way on Friday too. Lincoln came out on top against the Knights by a score of 63-51.
When it comes to explaining why Preston lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kaden Bachtel. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that Bachtel pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brier Rugg, who scored 12 points.
Lincoln's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Preston, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.
Lincoln will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Mountaineers at 7:30 p.m. As for Preston, they will head out on the road to take on the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
