Soccer Recap: Mid-Carolina Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mid-Carolina). Everything went their way against the Eau Claire Shamrocks on Tuesday as Mid-Carolina made off with an 11-2 win. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 5-1.

Mid-Carolina's offense was hitting Eau Claire from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Cash Knight led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for six goals all by himself.

Mid-Carolina pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Eau Claire, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Mid-Carolina will challenge Newberry at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Newberry will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Mid-Carolina surely won't give up without a fight. As for Eau Claire, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mid-Carolina at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
