Football Recap: Bacon County Falls to Clinch County in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Bacon County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 25-6 bruising from the Clinch County Panthers on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Scottland Hennesy threw for 128 yards and one TD. Santiago Bizzell was his top target, picking up 85 receiving yards.

Clinch County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaiden Reed, who rushed for 174 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Those 174 rushing yards gave Reed a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavion Johnson, who rushed for 114 yards and one score.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bacon County will square off against Telfair County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Clinch County, they will face off against Wilcox County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
