Softball Recap: St. Paul Central Takes a Loss

St. Paul Central managed to slip by Highland Park the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Minutemen came up short against the Scots on Wednesday, falling 10-0. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last eight times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

St. Paul Central saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noe Christensen, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

St. Paul Central has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season. As for Highland Park, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.

Looking ahead, St. Paul Central will take on Edison at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Highland Park, they will challenge Kennedy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Scots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
