Thunderbird had lost six games straight , but after bumping their record up to 13-10 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Shadow Mountain Matadors with a sharp 14-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Addison Hodge made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Hodge was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Thunderbird got a big performance out of Brooke Casey, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Casey has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played. As for Shadow Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7. They were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the six contests prior), but Thunderbird's pitcher proved too tough.

On Shadow Mountain's side, Ava Maroulis was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

Coming up, Thunderbird will take on Agua Fria at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Titans are facing the Owls at the right time seeing as the Owls are stuck on a three-game losing streak. Shadow Mountain will be paying especially close attention to Thunderbird's game: after Thunderbird faces off against Agua Fria, they'll take on Shadow Mountain again at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
