Academy of International Studies had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Weaver on Monday. The Dragons put the hurt on the Beavers with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Dragons as they're now sitting on seven straight.

While Academy of International Studies won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 26-24, 25-18.

Leading Academy of International Studies to victory were Natalee Pabe and Lisa Weinberg. Pabe had 18 digs and seven aces, while Weinberg had eight digs and three aces. With that strong performance, Weinberg is now averaging an impressive 12.1 assists per game.

They weren't the only good servers: Academy of International Studies was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 17 aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Academy of International Studies' record is now 12-1. As for Weaver, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3.
