Softball Recap: Destrehan Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Destrehan's offense. They fell 4-0 to the East Ascension Spartans on Tuesday. The Wildcats' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Jolie Lozano spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 16 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Destrehan saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gracie Bourgeois, who went 3-for-4 with one double.

Destrehan's defeat dropped their record down to 21-13. As for East Ascension, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-12.

As of now, neither Destrehan nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
