Basketball Game Preview: Lockney Longhorns vs. Hale Center Owls

Lockney hasn't had much luck against Hale Center recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Lockney Longhorns will host the Hale Center Owls at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Lockney had to suffer through a 101-39 loss at the hands of Farwell. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1379th, while the Steers are ranked 342nd).

Meanwhile, Hale Center ended up a good deal behind Olton on Tuesday and lost 60-42.

This is the second loss in a row for Lockney and nudges their season record down to 3-14. As for Hale Center, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-8.
