Basketball Game Preview: Kennebunk Rams vs. Massabesic Mustangs

The Kennebunk Rams will take on the Massabesic Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Kennebunk was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 56-51 to Falmouth. The Rams have struggled against the Navigators recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Massabesic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against South Portland, falling 79-36. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Red Riots are ranked seventh).

Kennebunk's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Massabesic, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.

Everything came up roses for Kennebunk against Massabesic in their previous meeting on January 2nd, as the squad secured a 71-41 win. Will Kennebunk repeat their success, or does Massabesic have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
