Baseball Recap: Stryker Comes Up Short

Stryker extended their losing streak to five on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-8. They came up short against the Pettisville Blackbirds, falling 11-1. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 15-5 to the Blackbirds when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Pettisville, they moved to 4-6 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 6th (when they won 12-1).

For Pettisville's part, Jack Leppelmeier was a standout: he got on base in two of his three plate appearances with four stolen bases and one RBI. Rylee Bevard was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Looking ahead, Stryker will venture away from home to square off against Tinora at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pettisville, they will host Hicksville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
