Liberal had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Southwestern Heights Mustangs, sneaking past 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Redskins have posted since March 29th.

Liberal pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Southwestern Heights, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberal will square off against Dodge City at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southwestern Heights, they will face off against Scott at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs are facing the Beavers at the right time seeing as the Beavers are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
