Basketball Game Preview: Del Sol Dragons vs. Shadow Ridge Mustangs

Del Sol is 0-5 against Shadow Ridge since November of 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. The Del Sol Dragons will host the Shadow Ridge Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. Del Sol is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50 points per game this season.

Del Sol is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Thursday. They were dealt a 71-44 loss at the hands of Western. The Dragons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-20.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Chakori Ramsey-Smith, who posted 12 points and seven rebounds. James Heath was another key player, putting up ten points.

Even though they lost, Del Sol smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in four consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Shadow Ridge lost to Legacy on the road by a 85-71 margin on Thursday. The Mustangs were down 73-45 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Del Sol's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Shadow Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.
