Basketball Game Preview: Barron Collier Cougars vs. Gateway Charter Griffins

The Barron Collier Cougars will challenge the Gateway Charter Griffins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Barron Collier knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Gateway Charter likes a good challenge.

Gateway Charter is facing Barron Collier at the wrong time: Barron Collier suffered their first home loss of the season on Tuesday and they're likely out for redemption. They fell just short of the Lightning by a score of 68-66. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (57), the Cougars still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Gateway Charter, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against Lehigh by a score of 81-74 on Saturday.

Gateway Charter has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.7 points per game. As for Barron Collier, their defeat ended a 19-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 16-6.
