Soccer Recap: Calhoun Comes Up Short

After flying high against LaFayette last Tuesday, Calhoun came back down to earth. Calhoun lost 9-0 to the Wesleyan Wolves on Friday. While losing is never fun, Calhoun can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 240th, while Wesleyan are ranked 32nd).

Calhoun's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Wesleyan, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Looking ahead, Calhoun will welcome Sonoraville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Calhoun will need to watch out since Sonoraville has now posted at least four goals in their last seven games. As for Wesleyan, they will head out on the road to square off against Mount Vernon at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
