Softball Recap: University Lab Takes a Loss

The University Lab Cubs lost 16-1 to the St. Charles Catholic Comets on Monday. The Cubs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

University Lab saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Jackson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Jackson is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

University Lab's defeat dropped their record down to 10-8. As for St. Charles Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

University Lab will challenge Brusly at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Brusly will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something University Lab surely won't give up without a fight. As for St. Charles Catholic, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 12-6 loss against French Settlement on the 25th.
