Soccer Recap: Mariner Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

With a playoff win on the line, Mariner rose to the challenge on Thursday. They came out on top against the Fort Myers Green Wave by a score of 3-1. Given the Tritons' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 37th, while the Green Wave are ranked 173rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Caroline Orth and Olivia Hinote scored all three of Mariner's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.
