Mississippi School for the Deaf extends home losing streak to three

The Mississippi School for the Deaf Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their ninth straight loss. They took a serious blow against West Lincoln, falling 84-39. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mississippi School for the Deaf in their matchups with West Lincoln: they've now lost four in a row.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyler Brown, who scored 12 points. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for him. Damarion English was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

Mississippi School for the Deaf's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-12. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.7 points per game. As for West Lincoln, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Mississippi School for the Deaf will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Stringer at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. West Lincoln is on the road again on Monday and play against Loyd Star at 7:30 p.m. on December 18th.
