Basketball Recap: Lima Christian Find Success

Northstar Christian Academy came into Friday's game looking for another win against Lima Christian, but Alyssa Marsh wouldn't allow it. The Lima Christian Saints came out on top against the Northstar Christian Academy Knights by a score of 63-54 on Friday thanks in part to Marsh, who dropped a double-double on 39 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Lima Christian's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Brielle Hammond, who posted two points and four steals. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (four).

Lima Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Northstar Christian Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lima Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Mount Morris at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Northstar Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Wilson Magnet at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
