Volleyball Recap: Heidi Lidberg and Zoe Brown Secure Win for Center Place

Center Place waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Plaza Heights Christian Academy Lions 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

Center Place never let Plaza Heights Christian Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-22, 25-17.

Leading Center Place to victory were Zoe Brown and Heidi Lidberg. Brown had six digs and five aces, while Lidberg had eight kills, four digs, four blocks, and four aces. That's the most blocks Lidberg has posted over her last ten matches. The team also got some help courtesy of Josie Brown, who had three digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Center Place was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in six consecutive contests.

When it comes to explaining why Plaza Heights Christian Academy lost, don't look at Sydney Berry. Despite the final result, she had nine digs and five blocks. With that strong performance, Berry is now averaging an impressive 2.1 blocks per game. Halle Korth was another key player, getting six digs and one block.
