Baseball Recap: Arapahoe Comes Up Short

Arapahoe managed to slip by Mountain Vista the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Warriors lost 10-2 to the Golden Eagles on Wednesday. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Arapahoe saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Shelhorn, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. Luke Thiel also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Arapahoe's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Mountain Vista, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Arapahoe will challenge Ponderosa at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mountain Vista, they will take on Chatfield at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
