Softball Recap: Carroll Triumphs

Carroll saw some tournament action on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Niles Vikings 7-6.

The team relied heavily on Izzy Rapson, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Tessa Patterson was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Carroll's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Niles, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Looking ahead, Carroll will take on Western in a tournament on Saturday. As for Niles, they will head out on the road to square off against Kalamazoo Central at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
