Baseball Game Preview: St. Mary's Knights vs. Saguaro Sabercats

For the second straight game, St. Mary will face off against Saguaro. The Knights will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Sabercats at 3:45 p.m. St. Mary's is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

St. Mary's will bounce into Wednesday's match after beating Saguaro, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Knights walked away with an 8-5 win over the Sabercats on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Knights as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Zach Tanner was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Luis Mejia, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Saguaro's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11-1. As for St. Mary's, their win bumped their record up to 14-9.
