Volleyball Recap: Mountain Pointe Comes Up Short

Mountain Pointe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Snowflake Lobos. If the Pride were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Lobos when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-17.

Snowflake's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Taya Schneider, who had five digs and two aces. That's the most aces Schneider has posted over her last six matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucy Lyman, who had six digs and two aces.

Mountain Pointe's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Snowflake, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 20 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-8-1 record this season.

Mountain Pointe didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Tolleson on the 4th. As for Snowflake, they have also already played their next matchup, a 1-1 tie against Shadow Ridge on the 4th.
