Softball Recap: Cox Mill Chargers vs. Cannon Cougars

Cox Mill couldn't quite beat Cannon on Monday but the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the nine-point defeat they were dealt last Friday. The Cox Mill Chargers fell just short of the Cannon Cougars by a score of 16-14. Even though they lost, Cox Mill's still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.3 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Allyson Campbell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs while going 3-for-4. Tessa Autrey was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 2-for-5.

On Cannon's side, they got a massive performance out of Nicole Ratterman, who went 2-for-4 with a home run, three runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenzie Sturgill, who scored two runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
