Baseball Recap: Wyalusing Valley Takes a Loss

Wyalusing Valley lost against Athens back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Wyalusing Valley came up short against Athens, falling 19-4. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Micheal Phillips made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double. Those hits were his first of the season.

Wyalusing Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Athens, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Wyalusing Valley will challenge Wellsboro at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Athens, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Athens Wildcats face off against Mansfield Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
