Preview: San Juan Hills Stallions vs. Tesoro Titans
San Juan Hills is 2-8 against Tesoro since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The San Juan Hills Stallions will head out on the road to face off against the Tesoro Titans at 7:00 p.m. Tesoro took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on San Juan Hills, who comes in off a win.
Even though San Juan Hills has not done well against Trabuco Hills recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. San Juan Hills secured a 58-52 W over Trabuco Hills. The win made it back-to-back wins for San Juan Hills.
Meanwhile, Tesoro's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They fell to Trabuco Hills 43-39. While losing is never fun, Tesoro can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 361st, while Trabuco Hills is ranked 66th).
San Juan Hills has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Tesoro, their loss dropped their record down to 9-14.
San Juan Hills might still be hurting after the 68-48 loss they got from Tesoro in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can San Juan Hills avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
