Softball Recap: Nimitz Cougars vs. Spring Lions
Friday just wasn't the day for Nimitz's offense. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 22-0 walloping at the hands of the Spring Lions on Friday. Considering the last time Nimitz couldn't score was back in February, the team can't take the result too hard.
Nimitz saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josephine Bilbao, who went 1-for-1 with a stolen base.
Nimitz's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Spring, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-8.
Nimitz will head out on the road to square off against Dekaney at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Spring, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Eisenhower at 6:30 p.m. Spring knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy run totals in its past 12 games -- so hopefully Eisenhower likes a good challenge.
